1. Please register first
Before you start, please register with Boston Borough Council.
- Go to the Boston Borough Council website.
- Click Report / Action it.
- Under Action it, click Litter champion application form.
- Fill in the form and submit it.

2. Bags, pickers and gloves
Please contact Steph Leyland or Steve Slater for bags, pickers and gloves.
3. Do NOT pick up needles
Do NOT pick up needles or syringes. Report them using the Boston Borough Council website: Report / Action it, then Discarded needles / syringes.
4. Full red bags
Full red bags can be left by your green bin for collection, or by the council’s bin. Please make sure you do not obstruct paths or roads.
If you have a mass amount, leave the bags together in one large collection area, then contact Jen to arrange for them to be collected. Please remember: do not obstruct paths and roads.
5. Where to pick up red bags
You can pick up red bags from 79 West End Road or 53 Parthian.
6. Hot spot areas
Please report any area that has a consistent litter problem to Jen: 01205 314583. She will then organise surveillance, to try to catch the people responsible, such as people who park up for their lunch and dump their rubbish.
7. Fly-tipping
Fly-tipping can be reported to the council directly through their website, or on Fix My Street.
8. It is a friendly group
